I just wanted to say that we enjoyed our visit to the Queen's Head; food, service and the atmosphere were excellent. At the end of the meal we were so full that we just about managed to 'roll out' of the restaurant on to the the canal path for a lovely afternoon stroll.

It's been about 25 years since I last visited. You could say it has changed a bit since then! However, I shall try and make sure we visit more often. Frankly the Sunday dinner was more than worth the drive from our home in Milton Keynes.

I just wanted to drop you a note to say 'thank you' for all your help with the menu for Saturday and also to say that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The food was fantastic and the service could not be faulted. The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional.

To the wonderful staff at the Queen's Head
Wow! I brought my Mum for lunch on Mother's Day and was blown away with the excellent food and attentive service we received on what was clearly a very busy day for you. The menu choice was perfect and the food a gastronomic delight! We were in a rush to get to the airport mid-afternoon and our waitress was aware of this and ensured we were served swiftly. It was a fabulous lunch and the bill was a pleasant surprise too. Thank you all for a wonderful Mother's Day.

Hello!
Just a short note to give thanks to ALL involved in Mothers Day meal.
The quality of the food, service was excellent. We had to wait for 30 minutes prior to being seated at our table, but, the wait was well worth it.
Thank you once again. Lets hope it is a s good for Fathers Day!

With over 100 local business owners attending, the event was a spectacular success for all concerned. we were particularly delighted to raise over £1300 from our auction of promises for the Pictureoak special children school in Redditch.

My friend and I brought my father with us for lunch today, the first time we've been. We all enjoyed it very much - the delicious food, friendly and professional staff, the décor, and the mallard duck peeping in through the glass door. I love bread and butter pudding and yours was among the best. We shall definitely return.

Dined for lunch on the 18th & 19th September 2008, and the food was delicious. We both had the light lunch hake, chips and peas. The fish was perfectly cooked with amazing batter, and rustic chips. The peas were unusually coated with onions in butter, but were a pleasant change and also, so was the tartare sauce which wasn't overly vinegary as most we have tasted.
Very much impressed with our meals, and hope to return soon to try other selctions from the excellent menu.

We were on a boating holiday on the canals last week and ended our holiday by going in to the Queens Head Inn on our last night (Friday 12th Sept) for something to eat. We were not disappointed, the pub itself is very warm and modern and has great surroundings, the staff extremely friendly and the food was delicious!
If only we had a place like this in Hull!

The venue was excellent and the seating arrangements for our party of eighteen, ideal. Staff were well presented and courteous and the service excellent. Just like to say 'Thank you' for a pleasant visit my family and i (including Heidi the Weimaraner) had on Wednesday.
This was the first time we had visited your pub - the staff are a credit to the Queens Head friendly and helpful, the food was superb, quick service , hot and very tastie. My son (who lives in Stoke Heath) just loved the place, from the location, cannel, gardens and of course the interior designed (Ladies toilets fantastic....). The Queens Head is a place i certainly would come back to and highly recommend.
I believe i was chatting to the owner/manager who stated only had the place a year or so - well you certainly done a good job and i look forward to our return hopefully in the near future,
Once again Thanks to all the staffs keep up the high standard of customer service and you cant go wrong.

It is really nice to see The queen's Head Inn up and running again. We used to enjoy having a meal there at lunch time on Sunday and then having a walk by the side of the canal.

We were holidaying on the canal early in July and on a wet Friday afternoon had moored outside the Queens Head. We went to eat in the evening only to find they were fully booked. However the kind and efficient staff managed to accomodate us and we enjoyed a truly wonderful meal. My daughter who is a vegan proclaimed it was the best meal she had eaten the entire holiday. Thank you for making it a nice finish to our holiday. |

3 of us came into the Queens Head Saturday afternoon for some lunch and we fell in love with the surroundings and interior immediately! We 'stumbled' across the pub almost accidently and we're very glad that we did! The homemade lasagne was delicous and after having a peek at the evening restaurant menu we will definitely be back for a taster! |

It was honestly was the best meal myself and my girlfriend had ever eaten, everyone must try the asparagus and Parmesan starter!!!
The service and the surroundings were impeccable also which made our night that much special.
This will no doubt be a regular place to visit as the bar area is stunning too! |

I came to your restaurant on Saturday 11th November, 2006 with my relatives Colette and Gareth Harris. We met their daughter, Alicia there with her friends.
Your staff were so friendly and welcoming, I felt I had know them all my life.
My son Aidan who is 6 years old also had a lovely time. He was also made to feel welcome and valued as I was.
I have never experienced such a warm, friendly, yet professional staff team.

My parents and I went on Mon 20th Nov for my dad's birthday. We chose to have the 3 course menu. I had the leek & potato soup which had little roast potatoes in it, followed by brisket of beef, it was huge!! cooked to perfection, then as my parents smoke, we sat in the cosy snug area whilst we were making room for dessert. When we got back to our table we order our desserts, from a variety of choices. I had the lemon tart with ice cream. The service was excellent, the food was excellent - overall a truley enjoyable experience!!!! |
